Foundation waterproofing. Waterproofing applied to foundation walls on the exterior or interior side, depending on where the water is coming from and how much of the wall is accessible.

Foundation crack repair. Leaking cracks in poured walls and failed mortar joints in block walls get sealed or repaired. Cracks that show movement go to foundation repair and, when needed, a structural engineer.

Drainage improvements. Gutters, downspouts and downspout extensions that carry roof water well away from the foundation. See our gutter installation page for that work.

Grading near the foundation. Reshaping the soil so it slopes away from the house, and correcting low spots, settled backfill and patios or walks that drain toward the wall.

Egress window wells. Window wells that fill with water and leak through the window. We repair or replace wells, add drainage and fit them for covers. For new egress openings, see egress windows.

Flood-damaged basements. When water has already come in, we remove wet materials and rebuild. See water damage restoration for that work.
