Siding installation and replacement

  • Vinyl siding. Low maintenance and light. It expands and contracts with temperature, so it has to be nailed loosely with room to move at every channel and corner.
  • Fiber cement siding. Heavy, stable and resistant to impact. It comes primed or prefinished and needs its cut ends sealed.
  • Engineered wood siding. Lighter than fiber cement and easy to work with. It needs proper clearance from roofs, decks and grade, and sealed cut edges.
  • Cladding replacement on a whole house or one damaged wall.

Stucco. We install new stucco and repair cracked or damaged areas. Before we patch, we find out why it failed, since cracks near windows often mean water is getting behind the finish.

Trim, soffit and fascia. We replace rotted or damaged trim boards, soffit panels and fascia, and wrap or paint them to match.

Rot and water intrusion. We cut out rotted sheathing, rim joists and window framing, replace it, and fix the detail that let the water in.

Painting and staining. Exterior painting and staining of siding and trim, with scraping, priming and caulking first.

Windows and doors. A siding project is a good time to replace windows and doors, since the flashing around each opening gets redone either way.
